Why there are a lot of street animal in Turkey?

Have you ever visited Turkey? If your answer is yes, you should probably notice that dogs and cats on the streets. They are everywhere. Literally, everywhere.I know you want to know why. Here is why; Turkish people are care hygiene and cleaning a lot. Especially our mothers. That's why if you are not living in a house with a garden, it is almost impossible to convince your mom to have a pet inside the house. They see pets are a messy living being. Honestly, my brother messy than any other cat. Anyway, because they are obsessed with hygiene, they do not prefer to pet inside the house. That is why we have a lot of pets on streets. I said pets because we treat them like our pet.

You can see a person doesn't have a cat but feed many cats on street. You can see a man doesn't have a dog but he has a dog accompanying him in the morning. You can see many children trying to catch up cats to touch. I can multiply the examples, but the thing is; we love them, we treat them like ours, and they don't leave the streets. We take care them on the streets. They are our friends on the school way or way back home. So why we don't have pets? The reason for this question is our obsession with hygiene. At least, I want to believe it. Look at how we treat cats and dogs on strees.  We care animals, we love them. Having them inside the house is our taboo. However; we are trying to break our taboos.
Recently, petting rates are getting higher in Turkey. It makes me happy when I see a pet in the house. Moreover; this amount will get increase year by year. There are more consicious individuals are growing up. I am sure that they will convice their parents more then we do.
